Within the Sixties, the Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz AG stopped the manufacturing of building equipment. Thereupon it was determined to transform a wheel loader from the
building equipment manufacturing into an agricultural tractor with articulated steering by turning the motive force's cab by 180 levels and putting in further lights.
So it occurred that the Deutz D16006 was offered in 1969. The market success was fairly low, so manufacturing was stopped in 1975 with approx. 35 models produced.
